The Race
Start at Hartsburg access; End at Noren access
Race to the Dome is a charity canoe/kayak race on the Missouri River with two racecourses from Providence to Jefferson City (26.6 miles) and Hartsburg to Jefferson City (15.8 miles). Proceeds from the race go to Missouri River Relief to support their efforts reconnect people to the Missouri River through hands-on river clean-ups and education. The second annual race takes place on Saturday, June 30, 2012.
The race will start Sunday morning at 9 am at the Perche Creek Access and Hartsburg Access. The race will start in heats by division. Start times by division will be emailed to participants.
Race time will be between 1 and 4 hours depending on the distance and the paddlers’ experience. This is a perfect opportunity for novice paddlers to gain race experience and enjoy the beauty of the Missouri River.
