Race Divisions
In each division title, the letter signifies the type of craft (canoe or kayak) and the number signifies the number of paddlers (1 or 2). C2, for example, is a canoe with two paddlers. Similarly, K1 is a kayak with one paddler.
All paddlers in the canoe divisions must use single-blade canoe paddles. Paddlers in the kayak divisions may use double-bladed kayak paddles or single-bladed canoe paddles.
All divisions, except Unlimited and canoes with 3 or more paddlers, may compete on either racecourse. The Unlimited divisions and 3 or 4 paddler canoes are restricted to competing on the Providence to Jefferson City course. These canoes are welcome to paddle the Hartsburg to Jefferson City course, but they may not be competing for medals.
Pedal kayaks, stand up paddlers and other boats we may not have thought of are welcome to participate in the race, but will likely not be competing for medals.
Divisions that do not have at least 3 registered boats may be merged with another division.
